Yesterday-man
My past is sucking and borrowing
My now is my past sorrowing
My past had some edges showing
My now feels those edges growing
My past suffers a lack of debate
My now is the basic to what I relate
My past differs from whoever tells
My now’s like an ice-cream that melts
My past had more time than I have left
My now smiles kindly upon this theft
My past saw a constant change of shape
My now is tempting with it’s own luring bait
My past is a cow forever milked
My now is like a wispy drape of silk
My past was fixed mainly on highways
My now on diversions and their byways
My past was according to my needs
My now is evermore demanding deeds
Ref:
I am a yesterday-man – I am a yesterday-man
I feel lost but live – as much as I can
